GEV Wind Power are awarded with the MoD Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award
GEV Wind Power are proud to announce that we have been honoured with a MoD Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award by the Armed Forces Covenant.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives. The Scheme acknowledges employers who have provided exceptional support to the Armed Forces community by going above and beyond their covenant pledges.
The covenant focusses on helping members of the armed forces community have the same access to government and commercial services and products as any other citizen.
After receiving the good news, David Fletcher (CEO) said “We have always recognised the outstanding talent that is developed by the armed forces and that our industry is a natural step for individuals to further develop their careers and professional development. Our team will now actively work to progress our level of support to achieve the gold award standard.”
On the 6th October 2022 GEV Wind Power will attend The Principal Hotel, York, for the 2022 Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Awards Dinner and Ceremony to collect our award.
We are proud to be supporting those who have and continue to serve and encourage individuals leaving the armed forces to consider a career in the wind energy industry given the many transferable skills that exist.
We look forward to continuing our work with the Armed Forces Covenant and keeping our promise to the armed forces.
