GEV Wind Power’s (‘GEV’) onshore division, Blade Team (‘Blade Team Limited’), has announced its expansion into mainland Europe. The move takes Blade Team’s onshore offering, covering all forms of access including self-propelled and truck-mounted platforms, beyond the UK and Ireland for the first time.
Established in 2024, Blade Team was launched as a dedicated onshore division within the GEV Group, a long-established provider of wind turbine maintenance and repair services. The division was set up to provide operators with additional specialist access solutions for onshore blade maintenance, complementing the range of services already offered across the Group.
Blade Team has developed its track record across the UK and Ireland, delivering a series of successful onshore campaigns. Building on this experience, the division is now extending its services into mainland Europe, where operators face similar weather conditions and maintenance requirements across their onshore fleets.
Blade Team is now available to wind farm operators and asset owners across Europe, offering blade inspection, repair and maintenance campaigns through its Specialist Powered Access capability.
Additionally, Blade Team’s wider offering, including non-blade maintenance, WTSR, and bespoke solutions built around individual client requirements, is now available to European operators too.
