AWEA Exhibition, May 20-23, 2019

Following success at the European Wind Europe event in Bilbao earlier this year, GEV and Clobotics are presenting their partnered turnkey blade maintenance solution to the USA market at AWEA Wind Conference Houston. Combining Aritifical Intelligence-based inspections with a proven and experienced workforce, allows for fixed price long-term costings and will vastly improve client predictability of operating costs as well as turbine productivity.

The next generation maintenance solution will be showcased by Clobotics and GEV Wind Power at the 2019 AWEA Wind Power Conference 20-23 may (Stand number 4031). The new global partnership between GEV Wind Power and Clobotics was announced in February this year and increases the reach of Clobotics’ solutions across Europe and North America via GEV’s established network, This in turn offers the most complete turnkey solution for the wind turbine O&M market.

Dan Boon, General Manager of GEV WindPower LLC spoke about the partnership and the progress GEV have already made in the USA: “The Clobotics partnership, utilisisng AI drones for inspections, means that the industry can benefit for the first time form a true turnkey fixed price inspection and maintenance solution. Under the banner of our Blade24/7 programme we can offer a fixed monthly fee to look after client’s blades. This is an exceptionally attractive proposition and I have already

received great levels of interest from savvy clients who understand the value of consistent cashflow when it comes to blade repairs. With the ability to absorb the infamous maintenance weather risk thanks to our Ventura Habitat solution, which protects technicains during otherwise prohibive weather conditions, the GEV/Clobotics team offers an high degree of confidence and assurance for wind turbine owners and operators.”

George Yan, founder and chief executive officer of Clobotics added, “By combining deep industry expertise, a premiere global network and enterprise-level AI technology, Clobotics and GEV are taking the lead in capturing the next wave of growth in this multi-billion-dollar market.”

An Independent Service Provider of blade repair and turbine commissioning activities, GEV Wind Power is recognised as one of the most reputable EU, and now N American blade maintence operators. The demand they are facing is exceptional and with continuing support from Rhode Island State Commerce Corporation, GEV will be able to establish a blade technician training centre in RI to emulate the skills developed throughout the EU. GEV’s service offerings vary from straight forward surface conditioning to complex structural repairs and indeed include the commissioning of new turbines. The benefit of the training center will be a steady stream of homegrown labor to meet the continuing levels of blade maintenance and turbine commissioning work.
